117  ”EXISTENTIALISM”, PRESENT,  ANCIENT  AND  FUTURE   (117)

PRESENT  ”existentialism” can be a philosophical  tendency or attitude but with  few doctrines common to

all  ”existentialists”.  They  are  influenced  by Kirkegaard,  Jasper,  Heidegger and Sartre  whose  ”atheistic existentialism” does not  believe in a God  who creates man.    They can think that man is    ”EXISTENCE” which gets essence.    They do often not know or admit that equal ideas  was in the past.        Most religious

people will  still   believe in a God who ”creates” our  existence and essence       (”Creationism”)

THE ANCIENT JEWISH BIBLE     is thought to start  with the  idea  that   ”in  the  beginning  did  God ”CREATE”. Then God is believed to be the  creating subject      and heaven and earth are created      objects.

But  some Jewish cabbalistic interpretation  reads         ”In the beginning is  created   (or emanated)   God(s) heaven(s) and earth(s) .       Then even God is interpreted as created object or  emanated by  ”Ain Soph Aur”

which is a negative absolute root,    too holy to be mentioned.   In the beginning there is for such cabbalistic

Jews  no ”God” but there is  negative absolute existence before ”gods”  are manifested.    The    bible-words

are then translated according to the   ANCIENT     Jewish grammar where the tense is indefinite,  which can

make the whole Bible very different,   free from petition ,      more affirmative.

ANCIENT  CHRISTIAN  ”Gnostics” as doctor Jung  (his book ”Seven sermons to the dead”)  have also

the philosophy that   in the beginning or before the beginning there is no ”God”.        ”Pleroma”   is  itself as

a negative existence which is the beginning and end of the created     (emanated)    world with its    pairs  of opposites,  (in Abraxas)  manifested  first  as   God and Devil    This Christian Gnosis   and the  Jewish   Ain Soph  Aur    (Cabbala)    can be discussed  as forms of   ANCIENT existentialism.

ANCIENT EASTERN    existentialism   can we find   in  the Rig Veda  and    the Bhagavad Gita of  India where the word   SAT   represents  the   Be-ness,    the absolute ever-present  Reality.  ”Satta”  is the one and

sole Existence – Brahma.        In Rig  Veda  it  is said that  what we may name    ”gods”    came later

ANCIENT  Buddhism    has  the same idea,   that there are ”gods”    but they are not the eternal  existence. They incarnate in the beginning  of time and disappear at  the end of  time and  reincarnate  in the next  period

of manifestation.     The eternal Buddha or Nirvana is the  Eternal   real  existence.     Gods are not eternal and therefore  belonging  to Maya,   illusion  and   not Real.

THE PRESENT   ”FREE CATHOLIC CHURCH   is as    Christian     nearest to the Gnostic Branches of  Christians.  As interreligious do we acknowledge  the  Jewish, Hindu and    Buddhistic  and other ways to  try

to  give words   for  mystic experiences and revelations of  ”existence, gods, and   essence”.    We understand that words for  human minds can not grasp eternal   truth but we convey different  words and symbols in order

to inspire seekers.   We have no indoctrination but inspire free thinking.  Some of us have  their own spiritual

experiences  of     ”Angels”  and of beeings of  higher existentialism and   essence    then  some  other seekers   can  think    and  we are free to speak about it but not to force anybody to consent.

FREEDOM  is a common word with existentialists:      They presume that there is no God who does  limit

our freedom,    that    there is no God who decides what is right or wrong.     We must ourselves  in   freedom

decide what to do and reap the consequenses.    But  ideas about   freedom  is different with different  seekers

MOSES  talked about freedom from slavery in Egypt.    That  is often  interpreted  in a literal way.   But it

is originally  (Egyptian)  ritualistic words trying to inspire souls to liberate themselves from  worldly  desires.

CHRISTIAN  popes have limited our freedom when giving dogmatic teachings.       Luther did write about  freedom from  the    ”Law”     but did bind his followers with dogmatic   catechism which  denies the path of freedom which is  in  other religions. Jesus is supposed to have said  that ”The Truth  will set you free”.   This

is the truth of  the   Holy Spirit.  Freedom in the eternal existence  is experienced by few –  in  contemplation.     Some  believe or have knowledge  that  our higher or Angelic Self  beyond all understanding   is real freedom.

But for  the human self  is that  freedom  experienced  only so far as  the Angelic  Self  finds that it is real help.

Eph 1 3  says that  we are  chosen before creation   and predestinated   so that freedom will be ours…

FUTURE  ”EXISTENTIALISM”    will  know  about  earlier  forms of   existentialism  which  have  been appreciated in the past in other cultures.     New mystics will come with words fitting new   riper  generations-.

But the question is always  how  ripe the souls are.   Christ,   Buddha , Krishna, Mohammed   and all prophets have found that  many souls can not    yet  receive what they want to give.
